Job DescriptionWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Buyer to manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for site operations. The successful candidate will ensure timely availability of quality materials at competitive costs while supporting project schedules and maintaining compliance with company procurement policies.
This Job Is For You If- Can procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
- Can prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in line with approved budgets, MRP outputs and procurement procedures.
- Can liaise with site engineers, project managers, and warehouse teams to identify material needs and plan procurement activities.
- Can negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve best value.
- Can track supplier performance and ensure orders confirmation and on-time delivery to site.
- Can verify that materials meet required technical, quality, and safety specifications.
- Can follow up on site inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, or delays.
- Can expedite as needed orders delivery and shipment via the suppliers and logistics service provider.
- Can resolve delivery issues, shortages, and invoice discrepancies efficiently.
- Can support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Can serve as first point of escalation for local category issues.
- Can support the category team as the site representative.
- Can manage the site's supplier relationships.
- Can maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audits and cost control.
- Can ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in site-based procurement, preferably in manufacturing, or project environments.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Good knowledge of procurement systems and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
