JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment for H-E-B facilities. Performs routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, restocking supplies, and trash removal.

• Monday - Friday schedule from 6am-3pm
• Collaborate with Facilities and Operations teams to support special events, office moves, and emergency cleanups.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and submit replenishment requests as needed.
• Remove all recycling items, trash. Re‑stock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper dispensers and general supplies.
• Perform major cleaning, including power‑washing. Handle more complex cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, carpet cleaners)
• Takes initiative to anticipate work, without waiting for direction. Readily assists other Custodial Specialists I & II as needed. May lead/direct the work of Custodial Specialists I & II and/or assist Custodial Supervisor with delegation of custodial duties, ordering supplies, delivering supplies, monitoring work of Custodial Specialists, contractors, etc.

Career support individual contributor position performing administrative or specialized tasks in support of daily business activities. Receives moderate supervision when performing new tasks. Work is typically non‑routine and solutioning requires some additional review based on knowledge developed through extensive work experience. Assists and/or trains lower‑level Partners. High school, vocational, or associate's degree. 5+ years of experience generally expected.

• Experience in custodial work
• Advanced knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and proper cleaning chemical application
• Ability to operate janitorial equipment, such as vacuum, high‑powered washer, buffer, handcarts, ladders, window squeegees, etc.
• Ability to work at a steady, diligent pace to complete assigned duties within allotted timeframe and quality standards
• Ability to follow instructions and work under little supervision
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
• Regularly lift 20 lbs. or more
• Work extended hours and/or rotating schedules
• Work in disagreeable conditions, such as extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and dirt. Stand / walk for extended periods. Stoop; climb a ladder
