Overview

Steves & Sons, a 159-year-old family-owned door manufacturer, seeks a results-driven Sales-Focused General Manager to drive growth, foster customer relationships, and oversee operations.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned leader with a strong sales background (80%) and operational expertise (20%) to manage our sales team, develop strategic directions, oversee and enhance production goals, and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the sales department to exceed performance goals
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive growth and satisfaction
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the timely delivery of materials at competitive prices
  • Collaborate with sales teams to translate customer needs into high-quality products
  • Foster a customer-centric culture across the organization
Operations (20%)
  • Oversee plant operations, production, quality, and safety
  • Implement lean principles and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency
  • Manage inventory, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence
Leadership Qualities
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and direct high-performance teams
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 10+ years of combined leadership in sales and manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Lean manufacturing and sales/marketing strategy expertise
  • ERP & CRM software proficiency
  • Willingness to travel monthly and attend 2 trade shows/year
