Parallel, A Brand Agency, is seeking a dynamic Director of Client Service & Strategy with exceptional leadership, strategic acumen, and proven experience in building and nurturing client relationships. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is passionate about driving results for clients and the agency.

As a Director of Client Service & Strategy, you will lead our account and strategy teams, oversee client success, and set the standard for delivering innovative branding and marketing solutions. Your leadership will inspire internal teams, foster trust with clients, and directly impact the agency's growth and reputation.

You'll be working from our vibrant, newly renovated downtown office located in the former SA Current building, which features two floors filled with natural light, a brand-new kitchen, updated bathrooms, a spacious conference room, and areas dedicated to both collaboration and quiet focus. Surrounded by the historic charm and creative energy of the area, it's the perfect setting for inspiration and team development.

Your work will help foster strong, trusting relationships with clients and contribute to the agency's overall success, creating an environment where both you and the team can thrive.

Position Responsibilities Include
  • Client Leadership:
    Serve as the senior point of contact for key client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Agency Leadership:
    Serve as a member of the agency's leadership team, helping drive and establish key initiatives.
  • Strategic Vision:
    Develop and oversee strategic branding and marketing plans tailored to clients' business goals. Write creative briefs and lead kickoffs with creative and strategic teams.
  • Team Management:
    Lead and mentor account managers and strategists, ensuring alignment with agency standards and fostering professional growth.
  • Client Strategy:
    Guide the team in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and client discovery to inform high-level strategic direction.
  • Project Excellence:
    Oversee the planning and execution of all client projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Performance Measurement:
    Establish KPIs for client campaigns and analyze performance data to optimize strategies and improve ROI.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    Partner with creative, operations, and digital teams to deliver cohesive, impactful solutions.
  • Account Growth:
    Identify opportunities for expanding client accounts and lead the development of proposals for additional services.
  • Thought Leadership:
    Stay at the forefront of industry trends and marketing innovations, bringing insights to clients and internal teams.
  • Agency Representation:
    Represent the agency in client meetings, conferences, and public forums to enhance its reputation and visibility.
Job requirements

It's hard to define the exact experience necessary, but we are hoping to find someone that meets the requirements below-or someone who can prove that the experiences they've had beat what we have outlined.
  • 15+ years of experience in a creative agency or brand marketing environment, with 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in branding, marketing strategy, and account leadership within an agency setting.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management, with the ability to oversee multiple, complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Track record of successfully growing client accounts and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.
