Philanthropic Funds Manager
Leads the team of Account Analysts and Managers that monitor all Philanthropic funds for the entire University. Partners with Chairs, Deans and University leadership to advise action to bring gift accounts into compliance with donor, Institution or UT System policies. Creates and leads implementation of training programs for Institution related to Philanthropic gift usage.
Responsibilities- Works closely with Institutional Leadership to ensure endowment and current use funds are appropriately used according to the gift agreement, Accounting and UT System policies.
- Manages the Endowment Database and maintains records for the 800+ permanent endowments held by UT Health San Antonio
- Provide regular updates on use of funds to appropriate team members for timely reporting to donors
- Working with Dean's, coordinates faculty appointment process for all academic endowments
- Educates partners across campus on gift, endowment and fund group policies
- Oversees the development and implementation of regular reporting program to President, VP of AAE, Compliance Committee and UT System related to Endowed and Current Fund Usage
- Provides supervision and management duties to include interviewing, selecting and training of employees, planning and directing work; appraising productivity and efficiency, handling complaints/grievances and disciplining when necessary.
- Develops, revises and makes recommendations on IA related policies in the Handbook of Operating Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of administrative compliance, financial reporting, and applicable business practices and procedures is required.
- Knowledge of and ability to influence budgeting, controlling costs, planning, scheduling, and procedural change.
- Knowledge of all endowment and other restricted fund group policies
- Ability to work cooperatively with administrative partners across institution
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others; attention to detail.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), databases and Adobe.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 5-7 years of related accounting or business experience is required.

- Bachelor's Degree degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or other directly related field is required.
