Studio Manager XY

Incentive:
Performance bonus based on achievement/excellence of sales and revenue targets

Introductory Period: 90 days

Schedule:
Flexible full-time, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events

The Studio Manager will own the day-to-day operations and commercial performance of the studio.

Our client needs a hands-on, sales-driven leader who blends excellent customer service with team leadership, operational discipline, local marketing, event development, and revenue growth.

This is not a back-office role. The manager must be highly visible on the studio floor, actively engaged with customers and staff, and focused on growing the business.

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a management role
• Background in retail, hospitality, events, entertainment, experiential, lifestyle, or art studio environments
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Communications, Art, Education, or related field
• Proven leadership and team-management skills
• Strong sales and business-development mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills
• Professional, energetic, outgoing, organized, and dependable
• Entrepreneurial attitude and ownership mentality
• Comfortable working with families, children, adults, corporate clients, schools, and community groups
• Experience with social media, local marketing, events, and community outreach preferred
• Interest in art, ceramics, crafts, or creative experiences is a plus; training provided
• Proficient with POS systems, scheduling, inventory, cash controls, and basic financial reporting

• Achieve monthly and annual sales goals
• Grow walk-in traffic, repeat visits, parties, private events, corporate events, and group bookings
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate studio associates
• Oversee daily operations: opening/closing, cash handling, inventory, supplies, and vendor management
• Control labor and operating costs
• Execute social media, promotions, events, and local marketing initiatives
• Build relationships with schools, businesses, organizations, and community partners
• Maintain brand standards for safety, cleanliness, and studio operations
• Provide regular sales, operational, and performance reporting

Success will be measured by:

• Revenue growth and sales target achievement
• Party, event, and group-booking revenue
• Customer satisfaction, reviews, and repeat business
• Team performance and employee retention
• Labor, inventory, and cost control
• Local marketing and community/business development
• Overall quality and consistency of studio operations

• Base salary: $40,000–$50,000 annually
• Performance bonus based on sales and performance targets
• Benefits as required by applicable federal and state law
• Employer health insurance contribution: 50% in Years 1–2, 75% beginning in Year 3

The first 90 days are an evaluation period to assess leadership, reliability, customer service, sales initiative, operations, team management, and overall fit. Employment is at-will.
