In this role, you will serve as an integral member of the Operations and Safety Teams. You will support the Operations Management team, the Safety team and the Director of Safety by managing, developing, and improving activities associated with overall safety performance in Transdev Alternative Services. This includes KPIs, SLAs, Safety strategies, and interface with client’s counterparts to ensure Safety, EHS and regulatory compliance to client’s, state and federal regulations.
In addition, this individual is responsible for any activity associated with improving Safety performance, optimization, and operating procedure updates. Lead transformation initiatives of the AV safety organization, utilizing performance improvement concepts and development tools, providing inception-to-measurement of structure, education, and processes. This role is responsible for comprehending ideal process flows, identifying, recommending and leading the problem-solving initiatives for improving, strengthening and sustaining the Safety performance of Transdev Autonomous Services division.
Pay Rate: $109,000 - $150,000

Regional Management of Safety organization in the geographic locations assigned.
Directs Leadership and management in developing a culture where safety, inclusion, and ongoing employee interaction are valued and evident in all activities.
Curate and present daily, weekly, and monthly business reports and present them to client leaders and executives within Transdev.
Lead role implementing programs impacting EHS and regulatory compliance regarding transportation and workplace Safety (OSHA)
Develop and deploy essential process improvement techniques and tools, manage performance improvement process in a direct role
Develop and deploy needed metrics to coordinate with existing safety performance KPIs by inserting lean metrics to demonstrate performance improvement in safety and reduce workplace incidents
Ability to diagnose problems and develop streamlined process flows to eliminate waste and ensure efficiency
Mentor peers and influence operational teams to think differently, ensuring a bottom-up approach to decision-making and empowerment at correct levels
Participate in client and prospective client meetings to illustrate and differentiate Transdev from its competition
Work In collaboration with Human Resources identify root causes and reduced workplace incidents

Education and Experience:
Must be 21 years old;
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Safety Science, Safety Risk Management, Ergonomics, Logistics, Transportation, and or related safety field preferred.
5 or more years of relevant Safety Management and leadership experience required.
Experience in tech, start-up, and/or AV industry is strongly preferred.
Strong background in Safety Management, transportation and/or logistics is highly preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Safety, EHS, Risk Management and OSHA federal and state employment laws and regulatory compliance
Basic working knowledge of laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to motor vehicle operations.
