Body Weld Seibi Technician

Overview

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Body Weld Seibi Technician for a temporary assignment in San Antonio, Texas. This is a 12 month contract position with a pay range of $30/hr - $40/hr magnit Direct Sourcing offers voluntary medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. The Toyota Bodyweld Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Bodyweld Seibi Technician. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical/skilled support to the Bodyweld Engineering team, including inspecting and confirming new or modified equipment and preparing that equipment for manufacturing production.

• On-site robot programming and interlocking
• Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs as intended
• Prepare and confirm new Body weld equipment at the vendors
• Support weld machine Seibi activity at North American Manufacturing Companies from installation to start of production
• Develop equipment countermeasures during setup/trials
• Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays

• Degree in Industrial Maintenance related field;
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Able to work up to 50% overtime including weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods
• Able to travel or dispatch up to 75% including locations across North America, Mexico or Canada
• Experience with automated robotic welding (spot/arc) and robotic material handling
• Experience in industrial maintenance, robot programming, PLC logic modification, and troubleshooting
• Industrial maintenance experience in a body weld shop
• Experience with AGVs (automated guided vehicles)
• Experience with mentoring and/or technical training
• 3+ years of automotive experience

Travel required: 25% to 50%
