Immediately hiring Shift Team Leads for a large metal manufacturing and machining shop on the southside of San Antonio. This is a full‑time position that will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of production activities and achieving production targets with required capabilities, yield, and lead time.

Pay is up to $23/hr. based on experience and shift

12 hr. AM & 12 hr. PM shifts

Duties:
  • Responsible for running and setting up general‑purpose machines (Milling, Drilling, and grinding), special‑purpose machines, and CNC machines (VMC, HMC, Turning centers, CNC surface grinding machines), etc.
  • Responsible for performing Hydro pneumatic presses and manual coining/tweaking.
  • Troubleshooting the problems arising in the routine work of secondary processes.
  • Department planning and coordination of schedules across key areas like Sintering, ISP, and Machine shop engineering and quality.
  • Implementation of SPC in critical areas to improve and sustain process capabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring strict adherence of all company manufacturing standards/Methods and policies on the shop floor.
  • Planning for New product development process and planning, Selection of machines, Tools, Fixtures, and Inspection methods.
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Requirements:
  • Must have held a previous position as a Group Leader or Shift Team Lead.
  • Experience supervising personnel in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge in SPC, TPM, and poke yoke, kaizen, lean manufacturing, jigs and fixtures, and gauges design, GD&T etc preferred.
  • Knowledge in manual CNC programming and 2D and 3D program generation using Mastercam is preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Intermediate computer skills, ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Must be detail‑oriented.
  • Dependability – Requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
  • Achievement/Effort – Requires establishing and maintaining personally challenging achievement goals and exerting effort toward mastering tasks.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility – Requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.
