Material Planner

Description:

Coordinate the movement, storage, and issuance of materials to support production schedules, ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to quality standards. Perform inventory checks, identify material deterioration or damage, prepare materials for shipment, and maintain required documentation. Order parts, tools, and equipment as needed, analyze production scheduling requirements, resolve material-related issues, and support configuration control processes. Comply with health, safety, tool control, FOD, and housekeeping procedures while performing duties across multiple shifts in varying conditions.

Support management and supervision in achieving program goals and process improvements.

#Education & Job Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

* A minimum of 4 years of experience with warehouse inventory, including parts accuracy and accountability.

* Computer competency required.

* Ability to obtain a forklift license.

* Ability to successfully complete required training (OJT or formal classroom).

* Regular and predictable attendance.

* U.S. Person for purposes of export compliance.

#Job Duties & Functions

* Route materials to prescribed storage locations in accordance with established procedures.

* Conduct an inventory of stored materials and report deterioration or damage.

* Remove and issue material from storage and prepare it for shipment.

* Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required to support production activities.

* Review and analyze production scheduling requirements to ensure sufficient materials and hardware are available.

* Identify, investigate, and resolve material-related problems to meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements.

* Perform in-depth analysis of complex material, inventory, schedule, and configuration issues as needed.

* Comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD, contracts, facilities, housekeeping, and inventory control.

* Perform other duties as directed by supervision and management.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

* Perform duties across all shifts and in various physical and environmental conditions.
