Metal Sign Paint Prepper

We’re hiring a Paint Prep Technician to support a busy manufacturing team by preparing materials for final painting and finishing.

This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for candidates with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working in a fabrication or production setting.

• Support the finishing process by preparing various materials for final paint application or the next step in the production line
• Read and interpret technical drawings to understand job specs and paint prep requirements
• Sand raw materials such as steel and aluminum using hand or power tools
• Mask parts and surfaces that should not be painted
• Secure, transport, and organize parts and materials around the production floor
• Use production software to track time, materials, and job progress
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines
• Participate in safety and team meetings regularly

• Experience in prepping aluminum, steel, acrylic, or vinyl materials for finishing
• Comfortable using hand sanders, grinders, and other power tools
• Basic understanding of paint materials and surface preparation methods
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Physically able to stand, lift, move, and work with tools throughout the shift
• Basic computer literacy; able to track tasks using internal systems
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

• 6 AM – 5 PM

• $20 – $24 / Hourly
