Production Supervisor; 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Production Supervisor at Johnson Controls San Antonio plant, responsible for leading a dedicated team to meet daily production goals while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

• Direct the work team to meet daily production schedules and goals.
• Distribute work, disseminate information, manage team absences, and resolve issues within the unit.
• Control costs within budget, minimizing scrap and rework.
• Anticipate and respond to production problems, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
• Provide technical assistance for equipment issues and expedite repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement improvements in cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling, and labor planning.
• Supervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup.
• Assist in accident investigations and corrective action.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Maintain accurate production and employee records.
• Ensure the fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures.
• Apply LEAN tools (VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen) to measure and enhance department Key Business Drivers.

• University degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience, OR2‑year degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
• Availability to work the 2nd shift (Mon‑Sat: 3:30PM‑2AM).
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.

Preferred: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience utilizing Lean tools.

Salary:‑$60,000 – $73,500 (based on education, experience, skills, market data).

Competitive bonus plan dependent on individual, group, and corporate performance.
