Immediately hiring a Production Trainer for a company on the northeast side of San Antonio. This person will train a team of Production Assemblers.
Pay is $18/hr.
Shift is Mon-Fri 6am-4:30pm & Sat 6am-11am.
Duties:
- Facilitate new hire training for new and current Production Assemblers through all phases of the manufacturing process.
- Coordinate OJT training with supervisors and HR, facilitate training schedules based on production needs.
- Work with HR and Manufacturing leadership to keep detailed records of training performed.
- Consistently assess production employees' skills to track improvements and determine additional training needs.
- Support Kaizen activities, continuous improvement, and safety culture.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Work Instructions and Standardized Work.
- Lead team morning stretches and discuss any concerns.
- Discuss production issues with their supervisor and assist in identifying training needs in a timely manner.
- Assemble various components within established "one piece flow" assembly time standards.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Perform simple calculations and maintain documentation of equipment information, including but not limited to production checklists and quality forms.
- Develop Job Breakdown sheets as needed to support Work Instructions and Standardized Work.
- Previous experience with Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Instruction Training (JIT) highly preferred.
- Experience with complex products and manual processes preferred.
- Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience preferred.
- Familiarity with a variety of learning methods (classroom, Job Instruction Training, OJT, etc.) a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience training a production team.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Knowledge of manufacturing operational and safety procedures to ensure proper training of new hires.
- Must be fluent in English (verbal and written).
