- Coat aircraft surfaces with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other devices.
- Remove old paint from aircraft using liquid paint remover and scraper.
- Sand and prepare surfaces with sandpaper and steel wool; roughen aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure paint adhesion.
- Mask and cover portions that are not to be painted; paint insignia, letters, or numerals on aircraft surfaces using stencils.
- Search and read the specifications in the DPS engineering drawings and specifications to complete assignments.
- Experience painting aircraft or aircraft parts.
- Experience sanding, taping and mixing materials for paint application.
- Ability to work a variable shift.
- Experience working on military and commercial aircraft platforms.
- Experience working with hazardous materials.

PayBase salary: $65,300 per year ($31.39 per hour) with additive pay of $1.00 per hour for Airframe Certification and $1.00 per hour for Powerplant Certification.
