Abrasive Blast Tech

Summary

Perform media blasting/cleaning of AR coating unit shields, organize storage. Performs many levels of general cleaning throughout the AR facility.

Pay Class: Full Time

Pay: $16.65 - $17.99 per hour

• Remove contaminated shutters and shields from within a vacuum chamber and replace/install with cleaned items daily.
• Properly remove anti‑reflective residue from shutters and shields using sandblasting techniques.
• Follow Weiser Rings decontamination and oven drying procedures.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of the media blasting area and equipment.
• Follow Compactor Operation Standardized Operating Procedures.
• Communicate and escalated with peers and principals.
• Ensure and maintain cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
• Practice and comply with all requirements promoting a safe and healthy workplace environment.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.

One (1) to three (3) years of related manufacturing experience preferred.

Must be able to read English to understand written procedures, hazardous warning, etc.

General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.

• Ability to think logically in following procedures and instructions.

The associate is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in this location is moderate. Limit weight for lifting, pulling and pushing is no more than 50 pounds. When lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, requirement is to use two or more people to lift the load.
