Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including hairnets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard‑toe and slip‑oil‑resistant shoes, safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Maintain food quality and safety in accordance with standards such as SQF.
- Read, understand, and follow a production manufacturing schedule; communicate issues or deviations with the appropriate parties.
- Maintain production flow on machinery by monitoring downstream and upstream issues, supplying raw materials, and performing minor servicing as needed.
- Follow all Quality Assurance and production line standard operating procedures.
- Perform equipment changeovers following standard operating procedures; read imperial and metric measurements.
- Record all necessary information for production and quality records and keep accurate downtime reports and documentation.
- Perform equipment and general sanitation in your work area or as assigned by leadership.
- Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
- Recognize visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine‑related issues.
- Perform minor machine maintenance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by leadership, including cross training, general plant sanitation, inventory management, training, etc.
- Experience in a high‑speed beverage production environment; beverage production experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of production machinery and forklifts, and awareness of technical issues.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Basic mathematical competence.
- Proficiency in interpreting gauges, thermometers, and weight measurements.
- Formal training in WHMIS, HACCP, Hygiene, or related areas preferred.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Problem‑solving skills – troubleshoot machinery and production issues efficiently and collaborate to resolve complex problems.
- Teamwork – collaborate with coworkers to achieve production targets and support team members.
- Documentation skills – accurately record production data and maintain organized records.
- Safety awareness – knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safety regulations at all times.
- Communication skills – effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors; report issues accurately.
- High School certification or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays, with overtime scheduled as needed.
- Fast‑paced production plant environment with numerous moving parts; noise levels require hearing protection; temperatures can be very hot or relatively cold.
- Structured and supervised environment with clear production targets and schedules.
- 0% travel anticipated.
Stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl frequently. Lift up to 50 lbs. (minimum lifted 15 lbs.), carry weight, walk, push/pull, drive forklifts, and climb stairs or ladders. Repeated visual and sensory focus is required. Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise equipment control. The position demands mental concentration under deadlines and production quotas.
