The NOV Fiber Glass Systems facility in San Antonio, TX, is currently hiring day shift contingent Fittings Operators for a duration of 2 to 3 months. This is an entry-level role that will require minimal training. The responsibilities include helping our fittings production area by following instructions to move and handle the fittings. This will allow the operators the ability to manufacture high-quality fittings productively, without having to stop to perform the simple tasks.
All work will be performed while adhering to manufacturing specifications and maintaining all NOV Quality and Safety measures, before shipping the product to our customers.
Manufacture high-quality fittings, couplings, and/or flanges according to manufacturing specification sheets in a safe and efficient manner.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Operation of winding machinery
- Knowledge of hydrotest equipment
- Use measuring equipment
- Understand specifications and how it relates to machine setup and product
Ability to read pressure gauges
Ability to work overtime and shift work as required
Standing up to 12 hours daily
Walking up to 12 hours daily
Ability to read labels on pipe along with specs on paper
Bending/Stooping/Sitting up to 12 hours daily
Repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly
Good vision required for safe operation of forklift
Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
Assist where and when needed as required
Utilize recommended safe work habits and make use of all safety equipment provided
Assist with OJT (On-the-Job Training) employees as needed
