Chemical Process Operator

We're looking for a Chemical Process Operator to perform thermal coating processes used in the manufacture and repair of gas turbine engine components. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you will apply coatings, prepare parts for processing, inspect completed work, and support production objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:30p-7:00a

Shift Differential: $2.50/hr

What You'll Be Doing

  • Apply thermal spray coatings in accordance with work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Perform assembly, disassembly, masking, grit blasting, blending, and other part preparation activities.
  • Monitor coating application processes and verify coating quality and adherence requirements are met.
  • Complete required inspections and quality documentation using product specifications, drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and support general production activities as needed.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S requirements while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong shop math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience working with ABB pendants or similar robotic systems.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, coating, or surface treatment experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
  • Required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 35 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, and protective clothing as required.
  • Ability to read gauges, measuring devices, work instructions, and inspection documentation.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
