Injection Molding Process Technician
We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to set up, monitor, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection-molding machines. The role involves ensuring quality standards are met by verifying equipment setup and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities- Set up and start up molding machines and check products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot and monitor the quality of parts being prepared for shipment.
- Determine processing parameters of various tools and identify and address problems accordingly.
- Verify that all mold, auxiliary equipment, materials, and injection molding machines are set up per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Visual Operating Procedures (VOP) instructions.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot processing problems, perform preventative maintenance tasks, and document process changes.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner while handling production material.
- Operate machines and package finished products when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience in plastics processing.
- Proficiency in injection molding, plastics engineering, and mold tooling.
- Capability to set up, monitor, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection-molding machines.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to demonstrate dedication, commitment, respect, and pride in interactions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Processing Technician or equivalent preferred.
- Working knowledge of mold changes, hydraulics, electrical and injection molding equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting using root cause analysis.
- Capability to lift items up to 40 pounds.

Work EnvironmentWork in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment with opportunities for 1st and 3rd shifts. Shift hours are 6am to 2:30pm or 10pm to 6:30am.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
