The JCB Operational Excellence Trainer / Mentor will facilitate the implementation of the JCB Production System as a Group standard. Develop, coordinate, promote, coach and train Operational Excellence workshops for all leadership levels, in both the classroom and the workplace. Supporting the overall organisation in the pathway towards the goal of Operational Excellence

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities- Aid in the design, creation of workshops in line with Operational Excellence & the JCB Production System
- Prepare, plan and organise workshops
- Lead and deliver Operational Excellence workshops to all leadership levels
- Develop Operational Excellence expertise by supporting divisional leadership levels to apply and execute JCB Production System principles and tools
- Train and support Continuous Improvement events within the Business unit
- Function as an advocate of Operational Excellence & the JCB Production System, acting as a mentor, coach, leader, champion and practitioner
- Prioritise safety and quality in executing assigned duties and communicate the Operational Excellence principles & standards
- Continuously improving skills and knowledge in Operational Excellence & the JCB Production System tools, techniques & standards
- Support and actively coach the other members of the team
- Maintain workplace in line with the JCB Production System standards
- Monitor and measure as part of continuous improvement all activities
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial environment
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience performing production tasks at or above established quality and productivity standards
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience leading continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen initiatives.
- Experience training employees across multiple production areas or workstations.
- Experience conducting skills assessments and training evaluations.
- Previous experience training, coaching, mentoring, or onboarding employees
- Passionate about implementing change to improve JCB
- Strong communication and training skills
- Ability to present to all levels of the organisation
- Good coaching skills to motivate a team to achieve results
- Good understanding of the Operation Excellence principals
- Good understanding of Operational Excellence systems, tools & techniques
- Ability to plan, organise and manage Continuous Improvement events
- Hands-on experience of manufacturing techniques
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools
e.g. 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Work & Waste, Visual Management, Area Patrol, Problem solving etc.
