Internship Summary

- July 30th. The days and hours you’ll work will vary based on an operations schedule to include nights and/or weekend shifts.

H-E-B self-manufactures 1,650+ products in our 15 Manufacturing Plants. Not to brag, but that includes 1.5 billion slices of bread, 64 million dozen tortillas, and 12.5 million gallons of ice cream per year. And yay for the 40,000 dairy cows it takes each day to manufacture our milk! Our goal is to achieve superior self-manufactured products through high-quality, low-cost products and services, so we can stay competitive and successful in the omnichannel business and delight our customers.

• Oversee a project and create a solution for a current business challenge - we see these solutions get implemented across the business every summer
• Receive ongoing coaching, mentoring and development that will help you develop skillsets for your future career
• Network with Senior Leaders and Partners across all divisions
• Serve Texans through community outreach opportunities
• Go behind-the-scenes to learn more about our supply chain, logistics and retail operation divisions
• Collaborate and network with interns representing universities from across the nation

• Build an environment of mutual trust, and form and maintain genuine relationships with others
• Have a willingness to learn, inquisitive nature and active listening skills
• Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
• Organization and time-management skills
• Professionalism and willingness to collaborate in a team environment
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and pay attention to details
• Have the drive to get things done
• Are currently enrolled in an associates, bachelor’s or master’s degree program

• Must have reliable transportation, you may be placed in a work location up to 45 miles from your home address
• Must be available for the entire 10 weeks
• The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, is required

• Function in a fast-paced, manufacturing plant and office environment
• Lift 20 lbs. or more on an occasional basis
• Work rotating schedules
