Position Overview
The Communications and Marketing Team at the McNay Art Museum brings together specialists in channel strategy, multimedia, graphic design, branding, and public relations. Collectively, we bring the Museum's mission and brand to life and build meaningful relationships with new and existing audiences.

The Marketing Coordinator will support the daily operations of the Museum's content production, including graphic design, social media, website, digital guide, and email marketing. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator provides support with creative projects; attends museum department meetings; coordinates departments' content pieces for press kits, digital channels, magazine, and annual report; coordinates workflows with creative agency; and assists with administrative duties of the department.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who works well in deadline-driven environments, has a sharp eye for aesthetics and a passion for the arts.
Essential Job Functions Creative- Assist with written, audio, and visual content for the McNay Art Museum's social media, website, email marketing, and digital guide
- Attend select events as directed and assist with live social media coverage
- Assist with short video production and editing for social media
- Update copy and imagery for the Museum website
- Assist in developing digital guides for the Bloomberg Connects app
- Assist in the design and creation of one-off graphic requests, including Museum signs, flyers, programs, utilizing graphic design templates
- Assist with the coordination of graphic design deliverables with creative agency
- Attend museum department meetings and relay high-level updates to Communications and Marketing Manager and Head
- Coordinate projects in Asana, obtaining assets from departments and tracking projects' progress
- Coordinate project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and post-campaign reviews
- Assist with responding to community comments and emails
- Assist with publicity for museum programs, including submitting info to community calendars
- Track KPIs on audience engagement and reach to generate reports on campaigns
- Assist with expense reports and purchase orders
Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing or communications
- Knowledge of branding and sharp eye for aesthetics
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience with graphic design and video editing tools
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Must have a flexible work schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Experience working in a museum or non-profit organization
- Knowledge of art and art history
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience working with or at a creative agency
- Fluent written and oral communication in Spanish and English
