About the ChurchFirst Presbyterian Church of San Antonio (FPCSA) has stood as a vibrant witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ in downtown San Antonio for more than 175 years. Rooted in the Reformed tradition and an enthusiastic member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians, FPCSA is a multigenerational congregation committed to biblical preaching, dynamic worship, and intentional discipleship.
Our shared purpose is to enjoy Jesus daily so that all people encounter Him. This joy is both our foundation and our calling, shaping how we live, serve, and minister together. Flowing from that joy, our mission is to make disciples who are disciple‑makers—people whose lives and witness multiply the love of Christ in our homes, our neighborhoods, and the world.
As a church that lives to love Christ, love one another, and love the city, FPCSA is passionate about serving San Antonio and beyond through ministries of compassion, evangelism, and mission. Locally, we partner with ministries addressing spiritual, social, and physical needs—including homelessness, education, refugee resettlement, and neighborhood revitalization. Globally, our mission partnerships span several continents, reflecting a longstanding commitment to cross‑cultural ministry, missionary support, and church planting.
