Who We're Looking For
  • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and is always willing to pitch in where needed.
  • Brings a positive, enthusiastic attitude and approaches challenges with optimism.
  • Is eager to learn, grow professionally, and take on new opportunities.
  • Is highly organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
  • Communicates well and enjoys building relationships with colleagues, families, volunteers, and donors.
  • Takes initiative while also valuing collaboration and feedback.
  • Can manage multiple priorities with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Is comfortable using technology and demonstrates strong computer proficiency.
  • Believes in the mission of independent school education and understands the importance of philanthropy in supporting that mission.

Experience in fundraising, nonprofit organizations, independent schools, marketing, communications, project management, or customer service is a plus, but we are even more interested in candidates who demonstrate strong character, a willingness to learn, and the desire to make a meaningful impact.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects, communications, and administrative activities that support the Development Office.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation while collaborating with team members to ensure data integrity.
  • Build positive relationships with donors, volunteers, families, alumni, and colleagues through excellent communication and customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, stay organized, and ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with special events, volunteer activities, and other initiatives that advance the school's mission.
Growth Opportunity

This position is designed to grow with the individual. As experience and confidence develop, opportunities may include increased responsibility for donor cultivation, prospect management, volunteer leadership, planned giving initiatives, and other strategic advancement efforts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to stay abreast of best practices and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • All persons employed by San Antonio Academy, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation completed.

Review of applications will continue until a selection is made.

Proven success in donor cultivation, volunteer management, and event strategy.
