The 2-1-1 Outreach & Disaster Response Coordinator serves as the primary representative for 2-1-1 throughout the Golden Crescent Region, leading community outreach, partnership development, and disaster preparedness initiatives. This position builds strategic relationships with community organizations, emergency management agencies, and local stakeholders to increase awareness of 2-1-1 services and improve access to critical resources.
During emergencies and disaster events, this role coordinates the collection, verification, and dissemination of timely resource information, supports emergency response efforts, and ensures 2-1-1 remains a reliable source of information and referral services for affected communities.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESCommunity Outreach- Develop and deliver presentations to nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, government agencies, healthcare partners, and community groups.
- Conduct outreach throughout the seven-county Golden Crescent Region to increase awareness of 2-1-1 services.
- Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships with community organizations, local governments, emergency management agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Identify resource gaps and community trends and recommend outreach strategies to improve access to services.
- Represent 2-1-1 at community meetings, coalitions, conferences, and public events.
- Coordinate the collection, verification, and dissemination of disaster-related resource information.
- Create and distribute disaster notifications, situational updates, and resource information to 2-1-1 staff and TIRN members.
- Develop After-Action Reports (AARs) following disaster activations.
- Participate in emergency management meetings, trainings, exercises, and disaster response activities.
- Ensure compliance with TIRN Emergency Management Protocols and statewide disaster response procedures.
- Provide Information & Referral (I&R) and crisis intervention services as operational needs require.
- Maintain expert knowledge of 2-1-1 systems, technology, operations, and disaster response protocols.
- Provide leadership and operational support during high call-volume periods, disaster activations, and special projects.
- Support service level goals by assisting Call Specialists during critical operational needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree – required / master's degree – preferred in Health & Human Services, Social Services or other related field of study.

- Five to eight years of progressively responsible experience in community outreach, emergency management, nonprofit leadership, or human services.
