We are seeking a Director of Professional Nursing Practice at Methodist Hospital who under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, contributes to the fulfillment of the Methodist mission and vision by planning, designing, implementing and maintaining programs, policies/standards, and management systems in all facets of nursing/patient care administration. Serves as a role model for leadership in the professional practice of nursing and clinical programs.

Promotes an awareness and understanding of positive professional practice principles, cultivates and inspires transformational leadership principles, and ensures quality staff and patient outcomes through the development of programs and systems consistent with the Mission, vision, and values of the Methodist Health System. • Coordinates and manages innovation in clinical nursing practice. These include, but are not limited to nursing excellence program initiatives, nursing research, nursing care delivery models, certification programs, nursing recognition programs and nursing leadership development programs (internal and external) and assists in the empirical evaluation of those programs and initiatives.
• Participates in achieving hospital wide nursing goals by participating in the Nursing Strategic Planning process.
• Provides primary leadership and facilitation, coaching of the nursing units to the effective development, implementation and evaluation of the shared governance models, care delivery models systems, and patient experience models and programming.
