Documentation and Guidelines

• Unit Guidelines
• Badging in and out for shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch
• Be on time for scheduled shifts (Clock in time 6:38 am/pm, after 6:45 is considered tardy)

Required Skill Set

• Strong critical thinking skills
• Minimum 2-3 years ICU experience
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Certification

Preferred Skills

• MICU & MSICU background
• IABP exposure
• CRRT exposure
• Meditech experience preferred

Specialty/Unit Certifications Required (RN)

• ACTIVE TX RN License – TEMP LICENSE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

• Chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes
• Intubations, central lines, art lines
• NG Tubes, Foley Catheters, Dressing Changes

• Dress Code: Include requirements; not acceptable attire will be specified
• Scrub Color
• RN:
  Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
• Nail Policy – Clean and Healthy
• Hair – neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards/mustaches/sideburns neatly trimmed
• Tattoos – covered whenever possible
• Piercings – Visible piercings other than ears prohibited
