• Supervise and provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established standards.
• Perform duties related to pre‑admission, admission, and discharge of residents.
• Manage medication regime including acceptance of physician orders, transcribing orders, ordering medications, and ensuring medications are on hand.
• Ensure medical supplies are accessible and report need for additional supplies in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Monitor and supervise Health Support Assistants to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committees and their assigned tasks.
• Communicate with family members and provide information regarding residents’ care and condition; liaise with physicians, other staff, support services, and outside agencies.
• Record all pertinent information, including observations, treatments, and medications, on the resident Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and keep the Supervisor informed of any adverse changes in resident condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

• Must be an LVN in the State of Texas and in good standing with the Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Hold current CPR, AED certifications, and maintain the required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensure.
• Be able to demonstrate and train others in the use of professional nursing equipment and supplies.
