Position SummaryA Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) delivers basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, supporting patients' comfort and assisting with daily living activities and clinical procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
- Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
- Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
- Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
- Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
- Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a nursing assistant training course. - Experience:
Minimum six months in an acute care or long‑term care setting preferred. - Licenses:
Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant. - Certifications:
CPR/BCLS certification required.
PRN 12‑hour days (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.), including weekends and holiday shifts.
