We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent L&D Registered Nurse for the PM shift to join our team in the healthcare industry. This role is ideal for a compassionate, patient-focused professional who is adept at providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering perinatal nursing care, high-risk obstetric care, maternal assessment, and newborn stabilization, along with labor and delivery nursing.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity and offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive perinatal nursing care to patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages.
2. Administer high-risk obstetric care, closely monitoring both the mother and fetus during high-risk pregnancies.
3. Conduct thorough maternal assessments, evaluating the health and condition of the mother during all stages of pregnancy, labor, and post-delivery.
4. Perform newborn stabilization procedures, ensuring the newborns are healthy and stable post-delivery.
5. Assist in labor and delivery nursing, providing support, education, and care to mothers during the labor and delivery process.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
7. Educate patients and their families on the stages of pregnancy, what to expect during labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
8. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, documenting patients' histories and treatment plans.

Qualifications:

1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an L&D Registered Nurse.
3. Extensive knowledge and experience in perinatal nursing care, high-risk obstetric care, maternal assessment, newborn stabilization, and labor and delivery nursing.
4. Exceptional patient care skills with a commitment to delivering the highest quality care.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly in high-stress situations.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
8. Must be able to work the PM shift.
9. BLS and ACLS certification required.
10. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
