Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN – Role Overview

Methodist Hospital, part of SA Health and a leading healthcare provider in San Antonio, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will blend direct patient care with clinical leadership, serving as a resource and role model for bedside nurses while ensuring safe, high‑quality, and compassionate care across your assigned unit.

Working collaboratively with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff, you will help coordinate patient flow, oversee daily staffing and assignments, support evidence‑based nursing practice, and reinforce adherence to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN, you will actively participate in patient assessments, care planning, and interventions, providing hands‑on nursing care when needed and guiding the team in complex clinical situations. You will support orientation and ongoing development of nursing staff, offering real‑time coaching, feedback, and clinical education to foster competency, confidence, and professional growth. You will play a key role in quality and safety initiatives, monitor clinical outcomes, and participate in performance improvement activities aimed at enhancing the patient and family experience.
