Texas Oncology is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our San Antonio, TX team. This full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5 pm) supports the Medical Oncology Department and does not involve weekend, on‑call or major holiday work.

The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) works under general supervision to provide professional nursing care in accordance with national and company standards. The RN recognizes the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participates in quality initiatives, and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards.
• Assess patient health status by interviewing about current status and medical history.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests from the pharmacy line and record information in the patient chart.
• Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
• Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the chart.
• Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, and coordinate related services.
• Assist patients in locating community resources.
• Collaborate professionally with teammates.
• Serve as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Willingness to consider entry, mid‑ or senior‑level candidates.
• Current RN state license in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing in the normal range are required.
