Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN - Part Time

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

The Medical Support Specialist determines donor eligibility, manages donor adverse events, reviews laboratory test results, and notifies donors of unsuitable test results. Working under guidance of Center Manager and Center Physician, the specialist follows regulations of the plasma collection industry, provides center-level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS), and collaborates with Medical Affairs on medical and technical issues.

• Determine donor eligibility by reviewing informed consent, medical history, and physical examination.
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions following SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results, including serological protein electrophoresis, and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Coordinate and support center physician standing orders and refer to medical affairs for guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation by occupational health or ER.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support pandemic investigations.

• High school diploma or equivalent, graduate education in nursing with state requirements.
• Current state license or certification: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Completion of FDA approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Minimum two years experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 - $33.44. The actual wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
