POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clinic management support and supervision of assigned staff in the designated clinic setting. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in an inpatient setting. Provides direct patient care of assigned patients in the inpatient setting and intensive care unit. Monitors ESRD/ AKI patients on dialysis. Supports and adheres to University Health and department-specific policies and standards. Mentors and assists in supervising clinical staff.
Provides clinic management support for the Acute Dialysis Patient Care Coordinator.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required (Magnet). Must have at least three years of clinical outpatient or inpatient dialysis nursing with two years of supervisory/charge experience in nursing. Experience with in University Health is desirable.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card.
