Family Nurse Practitioner – Paragon Infusion Centers (San Antonio, TX)
Location:
1922 Dry Creek Way, San Antonio, TX
Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Schedule:
Full‑time, on‑site
- Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber orders, facility protocols, INs standards and company policy and procedures.
- Complete admission process as directed by Center Director.
- Perform physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults.
- Document all pertinent data in the patient's medical record.
- Report significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follow up on identified problems.
- Communicate effectively with other IV team members on patient status and observations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations.
- Evaluate patient’s response to therapy and document findings.
- Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
- Participate in the Quality Improvement program.
- Ensure that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment.
- Provide clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and support new market launches.
- May require extensive travel to work sites and other locations as necessary.
- MS in Nursing and minimum of 2 years of nursing experience (or equivalent education/experience).
- Experience with IVs.
- Current, active, valid and unrestricted NP license in the applicable state.
- Active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Multi‑state licensure if providing services in multiple states.
- Completion of a Tuberculosis test and HepatitisB vaccine or signed waiver.
- Credentialing with major payors (Medicare/Medicaid).
- Experience with IV insertion and maintenance, including port, PICC, and peripheral lines.
- Infusion reaction management experience.
- Titration experience.
- Medication mixing and infusion experience.
