Cardio Oncology Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant
The Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC), a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardio Oncology outpatient clinic. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant serves as a key clinical provider within a highly specialized, multidisciplinary team, working in close collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and support staff.

8° shifts (no weekends or holidays)

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
Previous cardiology experience as a provider or strong cardiac nursing experience preferred.
Education
Master's degree or higher in nursing, documentation of completion of accredited Advanced Practice Education Program. Graduate education and related Texas Board of Nursing authorization must be consistent with clinical practice area and patient population. OR
Graduate of a Master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licenses and Certifications
Licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (AGACNP, FNP-C) by Texas State Board of Nursing. Authorization for prescriptive authority by the Texas Board of Nursing. OR
Licensed by the Texas Physician Assistant Board (PA-C). AND
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association or Red Cross based on the UT Southwestern policy for Advanced Practice Providers.
