Registered Nurse – Oncology

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a medical-surgical setting, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and effective treatments. The RN will collaborate with healthcare team members to promote patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the EMR system.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, side effects, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and dress code guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Must possess an active RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Must have proven oncology and medical-surgical nursing skills.
• Prefer candidates with experience using Meditech EMR.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to work a 13-week travel assignment 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
  Oncology certification preferred.
