Registered Nurse - Post Surgical PACU

Role Overview :

A registered nurse capable of practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care. The nurse assesses patient conditions, develops and implements care plans, administers medications, monitors treatment effects, and documents all care activities. They address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, and educate patients and families as required.

• Meet competency standards related to self-leadership and team leadership.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and efficacy.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and deliver education to patients and caregivers.

• Preferably hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or a compact license.
• Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Completion of organizational onboarding and annual competency verifications.
• Experience in perioperative or OR nursing is advantageous.

Ensure compliance with licensing and certification requirements, provide patient-centered care, administer treatments per protocols, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families. Maintain ongoing professional development through required training and certifications.
