American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU night shift position requiring specialty NICU experience and NRP certification.

• Level III NICU unit with 24 beds and approximately 52 staff members
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule with no mandatory on-call
• Floating required to Mother/Baby Care (baby assignment only) and L&D/Nursery for catching and transitioning babies
• Uses Plum 360 IV pump, Medfusion Smart Pump, Drager Vent, and Giraffe Omni Beds
• EMR systems used include CPN and Meditech
• Care for feeder grower infants requiring BCPAP, HFNC, and nasal cannula management
• Performs PIV insertion and management
• Unit performs procedures including PICC placement, UVC/UAC placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, EKGs, eye exams, lab draws, arterial blood draws, IV placement, and heel sticks

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications:
  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Advanced 9th Edition and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Level III NICU experience required
• Level III NICU experience including BCPAP, HFNC, and nasal cannula management required
• PIV insertion and management experience required
• Feeder grower care experience required
• Ventilator management, UAC/UVC, and PICC management experience preferred
• Ability to attend deliveries preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Team-oriented, helpful personality is a strong fit for this unit
• Navy blue scrub attire required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
