American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Level III NICU position requiring 1 year of specialty experience and NRP certification.
Details- 24-bed Level III NICU with 52 staff, including 1 charge nurse and 7-10 RNs per shift
- Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
- Day shift 7A-7P over a 13-week assignment
- Equipment includes Plum 360 IV pump, Medfusion Smart Pump, Drager Vent, and Giraffe Omni Beds
- EMR systems used include CPN and Meditech
- 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
- No mandatory on-call shifts
- Floating required to Mother/Baby Care (baby assignment only) and L&D/Nursery for catching and transitioning babies
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required
- 1 year of recent Level III NICU experience required
- Experience with BCPAP, HFNC, NC management, and PIV insertion/management required
- Feeder Grower care experience required
- Ventilator management, UAC/UVC, and PICC management experience preferred
- Ability to attend deliveries preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Perform NICU nursing care including PICC placement, UVC/UAC placement, intubation, lumbar punctures, EKGs, eye exams, lab draws, arterial blood draws, IV placement, and heel sticks
- Team-oriented environment seeking helpful, collaborative personalities
- Navy blue scrub attire required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
