American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a MICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Certification.

• Work in the Medical ICU (MICU 4C) of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with rotating 7A-7:30P/7P-7:30A shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required per facility's floating policy
• Common procedures include chest tubes, trachs, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, foley catheters, and dressing changes

• Active TX RN license or compact license required (temporary license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent ICU experience required
• Strong critical thinking skills required
• MICU and MSICU background preferred
• IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Deliver critical care nursing services to medically complex ICU patients
• Badge in and out for each shift and take a full 30-minute lunch
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, with tardiness defined as clocking in after 6:45
• Navy scrub top and pants required, with navy or white scrub jacket permitted
• Nails must be clean and healthy; hair neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; facial hair neatly trimmed
• Visible body art should be covered when feasible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
