Overview

Blue Skies of Texas Senior Living Community is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the San Antonio, TX area. This full-time position offers a salary range of $15.00 - $20.00 hourly and a 6:00 am – 2:00 pm shift. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available. We provide medical, dental, and vision benefits.

• Assist, perform, and train patients/residents in activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, toileting and elimination, and nutritional intake.
• Promote a safe and clean interior/exterior environment and maintain unobstructed pathways while providing care.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and/or range of motion exercises.
• Assist with activities of daily living including light meal preparation, socialization activities, and light homemaking chores related to direct patient care.
• Utilize infection control measures such as hand washing, standard precautions, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Organize self to carry out various visits, shifts, and/or tasks.
• Accompany residents to/from appointments as requested and assigned.
• Report concerns or changes in the client’s condition and needs to the Nursing Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.

Work schedule normally aligns with one of three standard nursing shifts to support 24/7 operation. Exact hours are determined by the Director of Nursing and Administrator; schedules are communicated in advance.

• Required:
  
  Currently certified and registered with the Texas Nurse Aide Registry

  CPR certification
• Required:
  
  Valid Texas driver’s license with proof of insurance
• Preferred: AED certification
• Preferred:
  Prior experience with geriatric and/or hospice patients
