Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic position requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic experience preferred.

Requirements

• Active RN license in TX or compact state in good standing
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Graduate of a Registered Nursing program, Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Completion of a Nurse Residency Program
• 6-12 months of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric rheumatology clinic setting
• Shift schedule of 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Full time, 13-week assignment
• Epic EMR experience and insurance authorization experience highly preferred
• Provide nursing care to pediatric rheumatology patients including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  
  Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care needs and home medical equipment use
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided
• Coordinate patient throughput including admission, discharge, and transfer needs
• Serve as a leader in patient care while adhering to clinical policies and standards
• Applicants who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to consideration
