Shift: 12-hour Night Shifts
Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Seattle. The RN will provide specialized, high-acuity nursing care to neonatal patients while collaborating with physicians and an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Candidates must have at least 1 full year of actual post-graduation NICU RN experience.
- Nursing school clinical rotations do not count
. - Nursing residency programs do not count
. - Candidates without post-graduation NICU RN experience will not be considered
. - Level IV NICU experience is strongly preferred.
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients.
- Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop individualized care plans.
- Implement and evaluate patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Maintain required NICU clinical competencies.
- Advocate for safe, ethical, holistic, and family-centered patient care.
- Educate and support patients' families according to their needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Coordinate care and appropriately delegate responsibilities.
- Apply evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and safety.
- Participate in professional development and maintain specialty competencies.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 1 year of post-graduation NICU RN experience.
- Washington State RN License – required upon hire.
- BLS – American Heart Association – required upon hire.
- NRP – American Academy of Pediatrics – required upon hire.
- Level IV NICU experience.
- At least 1 year of independent NICU RN practice.
- Strong neonatal assessment and critical-care skills.
- Excellent patient and family communication.
- Strong clinical judgment and prioritization abilities.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and quality outcomes.
