Pediatric Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to join their busy practice in San Antonio, providing coverage at Methodist Children's Hospital. This role involves managing a diverse patient load on medical/surgical floors and an intermediate care unit. The position offers a dynamic work environment with a mix of day and night shifts, supported by experienced nurse practitioners.

Practice Info

• Providing coverage at Methodist Children's Hospital
• Average of 10-15 pediatric patients daily on hospital medicine shifts
• Work alongside experienced nurse practitioners for newborn nursery coverage
• Care for patients admitted to the medical/surgical floors and intermediate care unit
• Hospital has PICU and NICU on site

Shift & Schedule

• Mixture of day and night shifts
• Night coverage is in-house from 6PM to midnight, with home call from midnight to 6 AM
• Typically work shift blocks of 3-5 days, though this can be flexible if longer stretches are preferred
