American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pre-Op/Short Stay position requiring a TX or compact RN license and Meditech Magic experience.

• Hospital-based Pre-Op/Short Stay unit with 13 beds
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 15:00 on a 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Handles patients undergoing General Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Cath Lab procedures
• Uses EKGs, glucometers, and bedside monitoring equipment
• Electronic medical records used, specifically Meditech Magic
• Floating required to Pre Op, Phase 2, and PAT areas
• Rotating weekend call from Saturday 0700 to Monday 0700, approximately once every 4-5 weeks

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Pre-Op
• Meditech Magic experience required
• Preferred experience with Phase 2 recovery and excellent IV skills
• Willingness to take rotating weekday and weekend call preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Navy scrub color required for dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Flexible schedule and willingness to float to multiple pre-op related areas expected
• Motivation to learn new skills is valued in this role
