Veterinary Assistant

Thrive Urgent Care in Torrance is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!

We opened in March 2022 and continue to grow!

Our goal is to relieve pressure from our local and busy ER hospitals, help our referring veterinary community, and provide exceptional outpatient service to pets and their families. This position will make a positive impact on patients, clients and veterinary colleague’s lives.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Experience in emergency or exotics highly preferred.

We are open 7 days a week.

Successful candidates will:

• demonstrate compassion and care for our client's animals.
• effectively and respectfully communicate with all fellow team members and clients.
• have the ability to multi-task, work well with others, and be self-motivated.
• perform triage
• be highly skilled in technical work in a fast-paced veterinary setting,
• be proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, digital radiography,
• assist with anesthetic procedures as needed (eg. Urethral obstructions, laceration repairs),
• value client education, and assist with some reception work when needed.

Hourly Wage: $20-$29 /hour - depending on experience and skillset.
