Location:
San Antonio, TX
Schedule:
full‑time, 4x9's or 4x10s
Compensation: $16‑19.00/hr.

VCA–Henderson Pass Animal Hospital is a 4‑doctor, small‑animal practice located in San Antonio, Texas searching for the right individuals to grow with us as we continue to expand. We are looking for someone dependable and willing to develop their skills as a Veterinary Assistant.
Requirements- Previous experience working in a veterinary facility.
- Must be friendly, outgoing, “people oriented” with excellent communication skills.
- Developed technical skills but must be a team player willing to learn new techniques.

VCA Partners with Penn Foster and has scholarship opportunities available for the technician program.
ExperienceThis individual should have experience in a veterinary hospital and be able to jump in where needed.
Skills- Work independently without direction as well as with the group
- Self‑motivated with a clear understanding of how the hospital flows
- Good customer service skills and empathy are a must.
- Familiarity with anesthesia and all aspects of surgical procedures.
- Technical skills including but not limited to sample collection, IV catheter placement, laboratory in‑house and send‑out preparation, patient intake, TPR.
- Veterinary medical knowledge
