Description & Requirements Veterinary Dentist & Oral Surgeon Full-Time opportunity in San Antonio, TexasMission Vet is seeking a Veterinary Dentist & Oral Surgeon to join our growing specialty hospital and establish Dentistry & Oral Surgery services within our multidisciplinary team. You’ll work alongside specialists in Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Dermatology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care, and other disciplines. The hospital offers advanced diagnostic and surgical resources including digital radiography, 16-slice CT, 1.5T MRI, C-arm fluoroscopy, and 24/7 care for hospitalized patients provided by dedicated emergency veterinarians.

- Establish and grow Mission Vet’s Dentistry & Oral Surgery services.
- Provide advanced dental and oral surgical care for a diverse referral caseload.
- Develop clinical protocols, workflows, and referral relationships to support the growth of the service.
- Collaborate closely with Surgery & Orthopedics, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Dermatology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Emergency & Critical Care, and other specialty teams.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic and imaging capabilities including CT, MRI, digital radiography, and C-arm fluoroscopy.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons experienced in advanced procedures including PDA ligation and pacemaker placement.
- Develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians and help expand access to advanced dentistry and oral surgery in the San Antonio community.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of Mission Vet’s specialty services.
- Participate in mentorship, case collaboration, and continuing education.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients while providing exceptional patient care.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.
- Board Certification in Dentistry & Oral Surgery or Residency Trained in Dentistry & Oral Surgery.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with a passion for advanced dentistry and oral surgery.
