Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Performs post-processing on CT/MRI data sets, timely and efficiently, while maintaining quality control measures in the 3D Lab and ensuring good documentation.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in all areas of CT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 3D post‑processing, positioning, procedure preparation, and technical factors associated with the CT, MRI and post‑processing systems.
  • Communicates well with others, prioritizes tasks, mentors staff as needed, and provides quality in‑services and instructions.
  • Ensures proper working condition of all CT/MRI post‑processing equipment, coordinates with vendors for repairs and scheduled maintenance, and maintains inventory and equipment service records.
  • Assists in establishing QC/QA protocols as required by JCAHO, ACR, OSHA, TDH and other agencies when applicable.
  • Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, proper completion of exams and assisting the department manager in patient charging accuracy).

Additional Job Role s:

  • May have access to radiopharmaceuticals, contrast agents and other non‑controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
